MoDOT Snowplow Drivers Complete Rigorous Winter Skills Training

More Rental Housing for Arkansas’ Poor Elderly

U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor along with Representative John Boozman today announced a $1,351,600 grant for the Northwest Arkansas Regional Housing Development Corporation through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  The grant will help the Northwest Arkansas Regional Housing Development Corporation to increase the supply of rental housing available to the area’s low-income elderly population.

Diamonds and More Diamonds

It almost isn’t news anymore. After a Wisconsin man discovered a 3.92 carat white diamond on Tuesday at Crater of Diamonds State Park, two more sizeable stones were discovered this week.

6th grader Maggie Rosgado, on a field trip to the park, found “something shiny” during her visit. She said that at first, she thought it was a tooth but quickly realized it was a 1.23 carat diamond.[more]

Preserving Civil War History

Washington, Oct 25 - U.S. Representative John Boozman (R-ARKANSAS) today added his support to legislation to protect America’s Civil War history for future generations.

Boozman signed on to H.R. 2933, the “Civil War Battlefield Preservation Act of 2002.” The legislation reauthorizes the Civil War Battlefield Preservation Program (CWBPP) for the next five years at a rate of $10 million per year.
