On Friday, August 17th, Springfield neighborhoods will celebrate Neighborhood Night Out (NNO) with a variety of events and activities such as block parties, cookouts, parades and exhibits, flashlight walks, contests and youth programs.
The purpose of these events is to :
Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs
Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized
Increase neighborhood pride and cohesion
NNO has proven to be an effective, inexpensive and enjoyable way to promote neighborhood and police-community partnerships in our endeavor for a safe community. All are encouraged to stop by after 6PM at any one the following locations:
Northside
