LITTLE ROCK - Kevin Kresse of Little Rock was introduced Friday in the Senate Chamber as the artist chosen to sculpt a permanent bust to memorialize Lieutenant Governor Winthrop P. Rockefeller. The bronze sculpture, depicting the head and shoulders, is scheduled for unveiling in January 2009 at the beginning of the 87th General Assembly.
It will be located in the hallway outside the Lieutenant Governor’s Office on the second floor of the state Capitol. The Winthrop P. Rockefeller Memorial Subcommittee of the Senate Rules, Resolutions & Memorials Committee selected Kresse from among three finalists. The other two were John & Kathy Deering of Little Rock and David Deming of Cleveland.
