The Southern Living “Sarasen Bluff” Idea House in Hot Springs is a highlight not to be missed on the 2007 Arkansas Trail of Holiday Lights. It presents a once-in-a-lifetime occasion to see this state-of-the-art dream home – featured in the August 2007 edition of the magazine – decked out in holiday finery for the season.
The Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism strings together 68 communities in the Trail of Holiday Lights guide, listing lighting displays, parades and events this Christmas season with a map and a description for towns all across The Natural State.
From Nov. 19 to Dec. 26, there’s an opportunity to visit destination favorites on the trail – such as Pine Bluff, Eureka Springs and Blytheville – or newcomers including Pocahontas, Rector and Corning, and returning attraction Iron Mountain Lodge at Arkadelphia.
The trail begins in Northwest Arkansas, winds its way across the Ozarks to the Northeast corner of the state, down through the Delta, into the Timberlands, back in the Ouachitas, through the River Valley and ends in the Heart of Arkansas.
The brochure is available at Arkansas Welcome Centers, Chambers of Commerce in participating cities, the Little Rock National Airport, Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau, selected visitor centers and participating Shell Superstops, Bank of America and Best Western locations.
Travel information such as the Trail of Holiday Lights brochure is available for free download at Arkansas.com and in the free Vacation Planning Kit obtained through the Web site or by calling 1-800-NATURAL.
