Fourth Annual Tulip Festival Set For April 7 At Jewel Box in St. Louis, Missouri
The fourth annual Tulip Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 7 at the Jewel Box in Forest Park
Approximately 60,000 tulips were planted by the Flora Conservancy of Forest Park with the assistance of the Parks Division. They are expected to be at their peak for the festival.
“The tulips make a beautiful entry into the Jewel Box,” said Anabeth Weil, Forest Park manger and head of the Flora Conservancy. “We hope everyone will stop by and see our bright and colorful tulips.”
In addition to viewing the thousands of beautifully blooming tulips that will be on display, the St. Louis University High School Circus Club will be performing.
The Red Hat Ladies are planning a parade with prizes for best red hat and most creative outfit. The always-popular Children’s Table will have Flora Conservancy volunteers helping the kids plant a flower to take home.
Other festivities include a raffle, plant sale, balloon sculptor and food vendors.
The Jewel Box will be open for visitors from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to see the annual Lily Show.
The Parks Department and Flora Conservancy, a not-for-profit organization, invest proceeds of the Tulip Festival back into the gardens around the Jewel Box, which they jointly maintain.
