If you were considering switching over to cloth diapers for your baby because you cannot bear the thought of what disposable diapers do to the environment, better read further.

According to redOrbit.com, a British research organization has concluded that reusable diapers damage the environment more so than disposables but the information is being suppressed by British officials who are, apparently, “humiliated by the findings.”

RedOrbit reports that the British Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs asked its employees to take a “defensive” stand on the information and has gone as far as asking them not to publicize the conclusions of the research.

Claiming that reusable diapers leave a smaller carbon footprint than disposables, British officials were pushing washable diapers as an environmental solution.
