Attend Backyard Bird Workshop at MDC Sedalia Office

The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) and the Missouri River Bird Observatory will offer tips on attracting backyard birds this winter at a free workshop from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the MDC Sedalia Office, 2000 South Limit Ave.

The event is open to ages 10 and up. Advance registration is required by calling 660-530-5500.

Participants will learn how to identify birds that frequent backyard feeders in winter, what to feed them and how to feed them. Tips on building bird feeders out of recycled water or soda bottles will be offered along with other bird-related activities.
