Do you have a talent for outdoor art? Artists who enjoy painting will want to mark their calendars for the Wildlife Forever State Fish Art contest. To qualify for the 2010 contest, artists must send in their entries postmarked no later than March 31.
Students, teachers and parents can learn more about the contest and how to enter from the newly released CD, “Fish On!” To request a free copy go to http://www.statefishart.com. The CD highlights the
Wildlife Forever State Fish Art contest showcasing unique lesson plan activities, artwork and the opportunity to win prizes and national recognition while learning about state fish species, aquatic habitats, invasive species and conservation. The contest uses art to capture children’s imagination while teaching aquatic resource stewardship.
The competition is open to all students in grades 4 through 12. Winning artists from each state in grade categories, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12 will be invited to attend the national expo at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center in Athens, Texas.

This contest is over, but there will be a new one next year.
Is the art contest over or are entries good thru March 2011?
